Itinerary
Your safari begins early with a hotel pickup in Zanzibar and a transfer to the airport. After a quick flight to Mikumi, your guide will meet you at the airstrip and take you straight into the park for a mid-morning game drive. Expect to see herds of elephants, impalas, and buffalo, and possibly lions lounging in the shade. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, followed by more wildlife viewing as the light softens and animals become active. By late afternoon, head to your lodge or tented camp, where you can freshen up and enjoy a relaxing dinner under the stars before settling in for the night. Meals: Lunch & Dinner
After an early breakfast, set out on a sunrise game drive when wildlife is most active. This is a great time to spot giraffes, zebras, and possibly predators like hyenas or lions on the move. Enjoy the cool morning air and beautiful scenery as your guide navigates through the different habitats of Mikumi. After the drive, return to the lodge for checkout and proceed to the airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar.
