Itinerary

Your guide picks you up from your Arusha hotel at 7:30 AM and drives you to Materuni Village, located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, begin a guided hike through banana plantations and lush forest to reach the stunning 80-meter Materuni Waterfall. Spend time relaxing and optionally swimming in the cool waters. Afterward, head to the village for a traditional Chagga lunch, followed by a hands-on coffee-making session. Learn how coffee is grown, roasted, and brewed — and sip your own creation! In the afternoon, travel to the Tarangire region (about 3–4 hours) and check into a mid-range lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight rest.

After an early breakfast, you’ll enter Tarangire National Park — a landscape famous for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. Begin your morning game drive, scanning the savannah for elephants, wildebeests, giraffes, lions, leopards, and over 500 species of birds. Midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the park’s scenic sites, such as the Tarangire River, where animals gather to drink. In the afternoon, continue your game drive through the woodlands and seasonal swamps. After a full day of wildlife viewing, begin the return drive to Arusha, arriving by early evening.
