Itinerary
After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up at 7:30 AM from your hotel in Arusha. Drive approximately 2 hours to Tarangire National Park, known for its vast elephant populations, dramatic baobab trees, and seasonal swamps. Begin your morning game drive, where you may spot herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, ostriches, and more. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint within the park. After lunch, continue exploring the landscape, focusing on wildlife near the Tarangire River. In the late afternoon, exit the park and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you'll check in at a comfortable mid-range lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's best wildlife-viewing areas. The crater floor is teeming with wildlife, including lions, elephants, black rhinos, hyenas, zebras, and wildebeests. With your expert guide, enjoy a game drive through the crater, visiting the Lerai Forest, Hippo Pool, and open grasslands. Stop at a designated site for a packed picnic lunch while surrounded by nature. After a rewarding day of game viewing, begin the scenic drive back to Arusha in the late afternoon, arriving at your hotel by around 5:30–6:00 PM.
