Your family is met at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) by your dedicated driver-guide and transferred by private 4x4 to your Arusha lodge, where you can unwind, splash in the pool and shake off any jet lag before the safari begins.
In the late afternoon your guide runs a relaxed briefing — customised wildlife checklist maps for the kids, a review of safety protocols, and gear sorted for the bush the next morning.
After an early breakfast, drive south to Tarangire National Park, home to the largest concentration of elephants in Tanzania. Ancient baobab trees and sprawling herds along the Tarangire River banks come into view almost as soon as you're through the gate.
Spend the morning tracking lions, giraffes, zebras and impala, with a scenic picnic lunch at a shaded viewpoint over the river before checking into your lodge for an afternoon dip in the pool.
Drive to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its dense mahogany forest, baboon troops and flamingo-lined soda-lake shores — a good place for kids to hunt for the park's elusive tree-climbing lions.
In the afternoon, head to Mto wa Mbu village for a child-friendly cultural tour: open-air tuk-tuks through local banana farms, fresh tropical fruit, and a safe, welcoming introduction to local craftsmen.
Climb into the cool highlands and descend 600 metres onto the Ngorongoro Crater floor, one of the world's natural wonders. Its sheer density of wildlife means fast sightings of wildebeest, zebra, hyena, lion and — with luck — a black rhino.
